Internet Protest

In case you are wondering why certain sites (like Wikipedia) are blacked out on January 18, it is a protest against two currently proposed bills in congress, Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA). Here is some information about the protest: http://americancensorship.org/.

Mr. Dalton’s Government Class

Mr. Dalton’s Government classes are making Glogster digital posters advertising their ideal (made up) political candidates! The Glogster link is http://edu.glogster.com. Your posters must each include the following:

•Candidate’s name
•Indicate what he/she is running for.
•Somehow address your candidate’s core issues.
•Optional: a campaign slogan.

In addition, if you would like to try creating your own logo or icons, you can try finding clipart on http://openclipart.org/ and/or tweaking images on http://www.picnik.com/.
